Underlayment, self-leveler and vapor-barrier coverage
Typical industry planning values. These are typical planning values — confirm against the manufacturer’s install instructions and your product’s spec sheet.
Subfloor products are sold by the roll or bag. An underlayment roll typically covers about 100 sq ft, a vapor-barrier roll about 200 sq ft, and a 50-lb self-leveler bag yields roughly 10 sq ft·in of depth. These are labeled planning values — confirm on your product’s spec sheet. Use them with the underlayment, self-leveler and vapor-barrier calculators.
| Product | Typical coverage |
|---|---|
| Underlayment roll | 100 sq ft/roll |
| Vapor / moisture barrier roll | 200 sq ft/roll |
| Self-leveler (50-lb bag) | 10 sq ft·in/bag |
